LOIS SNOPE Obituary

Lois Adele Snope 3/31/1928 - 1/7/2013 On 1/7/2013 our mother was reunited with her parents Olga and Spencer Turner, her loving husband Dan, her son Larry, and grandson Zachery. First and foremost, family meant everything to our mother. She was the glue that held the family together. She made many wonderful memories for her family as we all came together for celebrations such as holidays, birthdays, weddings, and new babies. She adored each and every one of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lois's hobbies included knitting, baking, and gardening. There wasn't a friend, relative, or West Pierce Firefighter, who didn't love her pies or raspberry jam! She will be greatly missed by her brother Ron Turner, and sons Dan (Rachel), Ron (Karen), and Matt. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The family would like to send a special thank you to Loren Defazio and Tim Gavranich for "being there" during this difficult time. In honor of Lois there will be an open house on Saturday, January 12 from 2:00-5:00pm at the Snope family home, 4910 80th Ave. W, University Place, 98467. Suggested donations may be made to Franciscan Hospice House, 2901 Bridgeport Way W, University Place, WA 98466.

Our Sympathy goes out to your family in the loss of Lois and Dan. As neighbors we always enjoyed there visits. Lois made all the Riley girls scarves and Dan gave his home made root beer. It was a honor to know both of them. They will truely be miss by us all. The Michael Riley Family

My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the entire Snope family. Lois was a truly loving, kind and generous person who cared about others. I'm lucky to have known her and to have her as my son's Grandma. She will always have a special place in my heart.

Jillian and I love you very much Grandma. Life will never be the same without you. Thank you for always being there for me no matter what and making sure I was always taken care of and never left your house on an empty stomach. You will always be remembered in my heart as one of the kindest people I have ever had the priviledge of knowing. I will miss you so much and will see you someday again.

Love, Spencer
