LUIGI CREASIA Obituary

Luigi (Louie) Joseph Creasia Age 93, of Puyallup, passed away peacefully April 21, 2016. Born July 22, 1922 in Milford, MA, Luigi was third of ten children in a Catholic family. As a boy he helped his parents support his siblings through the Great Depression. He promptly joined the US Army to honorably serve in World War II and Korea. Louie met his wife Mika (Margie) in Japan during the post-WWII occupation. After 22 years in the Army, Louie retired as a non-commissioned officer while stationed at Fort Lewis. He and Margie raised their family of six children in Parkland, while Louie completed a 19-year career as a mechanic and welder for Boeing, working on the SST and Minuteman Missile projects. Louie was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and Tacoma Elks. His work ethic, generosity, dedication to his family, and sense of humor were a natural part of his legacy. He loved his wife of 65 years and his family, and enjoyed gardening, fishing, bowling, music, and dance. He is survived by Margie, his children Janet, Frank, Ed, David, Tom, and Betty and son-in-law Scott, 16 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Condolences in lieu of flowers may be directed toward research of Alzheimer's or Dementia.
