Margaret Brass Obituary

Margaret, a devoted Christian whose faith was the cornerstone of her life, passed away peacefully Tuesday February 17th. A woman of grace, laughter, and unwavering devotion, Maggie cherished her three children, twelve grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren, finding joy in every moment shared with them.

Born in Florida, but raised in the Pacific Northwest, Maggie dedicated 35 years of her professional life to the phone company. While raising her family near the crisp waters of Lake Tapps, she instilled in her loved ones the values of hard work, resilience, and faith. Despite her busy schedule, Maggie found time to nurture a thriving vegetable garden, bake delicious bread, sew clothes and heartfelt gifts, and create crocheted blankets, scarves, and washcloths for those she held dear. Her home was often filled with the sound of her piano and the comforting aroma of homemade jams, applesauce, green beans, pears, peaches, and pickles.

Maggie's adventurous spirit shone brightly in her love for travel and the outdoors. She delighted in bicycling with her family and exploring the nation on her beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle, proudly riding more than 150,000 miles across America. Her compassion extended to the animal kingdom, as she rescued and cared for many creatures over the years, including a horse, a turtle, cats, dogs, chickens, and countless pigeons, each one receiving her tender love and care.

Maggie is proceeded in death by her dad & mom Ivan & Irma Brass of Branson, MO.

She is survived by her younger sister Marion Harman, niece Sara her husband Brian McKechnie and their daughters Logan and Samantha of Arlington, TX.

Her daughter Lisa Gauthier and granddaughters Victoria and Teresa of Tacoma, WA.

Son & daughter in-law Paul & Barbara Twaddle and grandsons Jesse, Matthew, Anthony and great grandchildren Carl, Logan, Heidi, Brody, Loralai, Ezra, Elijah of Fernley, NV.

Daughter & son in-law Donna & Rick Watson and grandchildren Jana & Bryson, Aaron, Joel & Ally, Steven & Karalyn and great grandchildren Hendrix, Audrey, Henley, Amelia and Aura of Puyallup, WA.

As well as ex-husbands Marvin Thornburgh & Mike Quint who have been her loyal friends throughout the years.

Maggie lived each day with a heart full of love, a spirit of adventure, and a deep sense of purpose. Her legacy is one of joy, generosity, and steadfast faith. She praised Jesus as her Lord and Savior throughout her life, and now rests in eternal peace and freedom, surrounded by the love she so freely gave.

Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.
