Marni Wood

1976 - 2025

Marni was born in Tacoma, WA on February 28, 1976, to Pam and Ed Konsmo.

She passed away on November 3, 2025, after a nine-year battle with cancer. Marni grew up in Puyallup graduating from Puyallup High School in 1994. She graduated in 1997 from University of Redlands with a degree in Business Administration and Economics.

While working for Boeing in 1998, Marni met Todd Wood. They were married in August 2001. Todd worked for UPS Cargo Airlines as a mechanic and was transferred to the UPS facility in Louisville, KY in 1999. While in Louisville, Marni obtained her MBA in finance and was employed by United Food Service Co-op as Senior Manager, Financial Analysis. When Todd was transferred to the UPS facility in 2007 in Honolulu, Marni applied for a position with Hawaiian Airlines. She was hired as Finance Director and when she left Hawaiian she was the Managing Director of Finance.

In 2020, Marni left Hawaiian for a position as CFO for the I. Kitagawa and Company LTD in Hilo, HI. The company has Nissan, Stellantis franchises and Napa Auto Parts stores.

Marni was recruited by Indeed to the position of Finance Controller at Columbia Hospitality in Seattle and moved from Hawaii.

Traveling the world was one of Marni's passions. Working for Hawaiian Allowed her to visit all seven continents. She even visited alone Mongolia and stayed In a Yurt.

A special thanks to the doctors that attended to Marni during her cancer treatment.

In Houston and Hawaii. Dr. Christina Roland, Sarcoma Surgeon. Dr. Kelley Paulson, Lead doctor on the hospice team. All the great nurses in the Infusion Room at Swedish, especially Nurse Jordan and Dr. Park and in Paulson's office.

Marni is survived by her parents and husband Todd, stepsister Sue Strain. and many nieces and nephews and a stepbrother.

Marni was predeceased by her grandparents Albert and Edith Konsmo and Bob and Dorothy Arvine.

At Marni's request there will be no service She requested any remembrance be made to your local Humane Society.
