Jack and Family,

May I offer my deepest condolences at the loss of your dear mother. I will forever remember my visits with her and my lunches with this great lady. I have many fond memories working at 'Shell Tide Cafe' in Redondo. Mary would sometimes take me home after work and we would talk through trouble I was having as a youth. I also could ever forget her cooking and running the cafe. She was dear to many who knew her.
May you be comforted in the fact that she is now with loved ones who have passed on before, and is without suffering or pain.

As for me, my memories with her will last a life time. May the Lord bless you and comfort you during this great time of loss. God Bless!

One of my fondest chilhood memories is the time that Aunt Mary, Jack, Sheldon and Gwen came to Houston to visit us. We always had a great time when Aunt Mary came. I remember standing on our front porch when she left and crying my eyes out. Even though I didn't see her often through the years because of distance, she was the personification of what an aunt should be. When she walked through the door on a visit, it was as if no time had past since the last time I saw her. I always hated to see her go.

My sister and I were lucky enough to be able to travel to Washington for her 90th birthday . It was a great day and one I will cherish. I swear she didn't look a day over 75.

I am also thankful for the relationship that she and my mother had through the years. My mom's trips to Washington always meant so much to her. She would come back and talk for days about all the wonderful things she got to do with Aunt Mary, her kids, grandkids and host of friends. There bond was very strong to the end. Aunt Mary and my mom both lived very long and active lives, my mom preceding her in death by a year and a week. That Swedish blood is amazing.

I know she will be missed by many. She was a grand lady.

I am very sorry to hear of her passing. It makes me even more thankful that I was able to spend a little time with her and my Grandmother, Calma, in Washington a couple years back. I will always remember that time as well as her time with us in Texas. They are together again looking out for each other.

Love and take care,

Steve Brady
