Patrick McLendon Age 77, passed away suddenly October 14th. He was born in Renton, Washington and grew up there. He attended Renton schools and graduated in 1955. He met Rita Thomas and they married in 1954. He worked at McLendon Hardware with his family his entire working life. He retired in 1997 and moved to Port Orchard to be close to his grandchildren. He loved to travel; he went to Hawaii many times and also enjoyed Lake Chelan. He also enjoyed his home at Ocean Shores. He is survived by his son Scott (Shannon) McLendon and grandchildren Brittany and Bryce, and brothers Robert, Ted, and Jan McLendon. He was preceded in death by his wife Rita, and sisters Dorothy and Wanda. He will be greatly missed, as he was a great man, father, and friend. A memorial service will be held at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard on October 25th at 2 pm. An on-line memorial can be accessed at www.rill.com.

Pat you were the coolest at McLendon Hardware
During the years that I worked there from 1974 to 1982.
I was honered when Dirthy invited me to your 49 TH Birthday Party.
Sandy and I enjoyed along with playing cards at your.
I ran into you at the Covington library and you talked about Scott and his "new" hardware stores in Port Orchard.

I know there is not much to say but we are so very sorry for your loss. Know that we are thinking of you all, and we pray that in time, your hurt will heal and the good memories will be there always.

Scott, I always felt you were my brother from another set of parents. I know that it has been a long time since we have seen each other, but I think of you many times. Time just gets away from us, but if you need anything, even just to talk, call me anytime.
