RAYMOND KALLES

Raymond "Earl" Kalles Beloved husband, dad, and grandpa. Earl passed away, surrounded by his family and into the arms of his loving Creator on February 20, 2014. Earl is survived by the love of his life, Linda - they were married for 34-1/2 years - their daughters Amber and Lauren, granddaughters Jacquelyn and Miley, four brothers, three sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Earl was a lifelong resident of Puyallup. Born February 2, 1948, he graduated from Puyallup High School in 1966. After school he joined the Army, where he served in Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart. He recently retired from the Washington State Liquor Control Board after more than 31 years. He did everything with a passion, and never met anyone that was not a friend. He was a founding member of a street rod and classic car club called JusAnother Car Club. He could always be found at the car shows, and was so proud of his 1969 Z-28 Camaro. He was passionately involved in his community with local politics and volunteering endless hours to organizations such as the Puyallup Alumni Association and his local union. He loved cooking, gardening, and family get-togethers. He will be greatly missed. Earl's memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 28th, at the Puyallup United Methodist Church.
