So sorry to hear about Dick Boness. I believe we're related. My mom, who died a few years ago, was Margie McLaughlin, who's mom was Elsie Boness.

Dick and Wanda were the heart of Spanaway Speedway! They were such wonderful people, taking the time to know who came to the races, who's kid was who's, each accounted for by the races end. My kids were raised in the pits, as I raced with the Spanaway Speed Queens and worked with S.C.A.R. and W.A.R. It broke our hearts to see the track go. My heart and prayers to the family, Dick will be missed by all who knew him, R.I.P. my friend.

I worked with Dick at The Milwaukee Railroad. I was a young man, just starting out and Dick taught me many things about the railroad life. He took the time to explain things and always had a smile. Some of his stories were ridiculously funny, and I learned a lot from him.
Rest in Peace, my friend.

Dick was always a part of growing up at Spanaway Speedway. All of our Friday's and Saturday's were spent there. From the gut burgers and Wanda's cookies, some of the best childhood memories were spent there. I always remember Dick walking through the playground and greeting us kids. Great man

Dick made a big mark on the Edgewood/Milton communites when he built the "BONESS BURGER". I'm sure he enhaced the being of the Alder Lake, near Elbe WA. Goodbye to an Entrepeneurs Entrepeneur for certain.
