Deepest condolences to Jack and Kay, the rest of the Burton family, and Madelene. Burton has always been one of my very favorite people. I am so grateful for the time I spent with him, and some of my happiest memories are from that time, watching him play bass onstage with Sneaks or alone. He could light up a room. He was a dapper gentleman, wore a hat better than anyone, and his quirky personality and sense of humor were
second to none. When I heard of his passing (thank you, Madelene!), I was shocked and moved. Although we weren't in
touch the last few years, I will always miss him and treasure the memories. RIP, Burton!

You certainly left your mark among those of us who enjoyed your talents and heartwarming (I know, you'd hate that) personality. As a bass player, I strive to lay down the groove as you did. Rick, we could always depend on you to be last one in, and the last one to hit the beat right now. Marching band, concert band, orchestra, you played it all. Sorry I did not keep up with you in your later years, but it sound like you never changed. I know you beat the drums to your own beat, now it is time you fall in line with the other greats that have graced the road for you.... Rest In Peace my friend..... yours, in Christ, Jim Wirth....

Dear Burton, you were always a glowing light on stage. Growing up with a father as a musician and watching different band members come and go through out the years, you were the one that always made me laugh and just had that special something and I loved your hats. RIP From Little Nikki.
