ROGER TERWILLIGER

1939 - 2016

Roger Terwilliger "Gone to jam with Johnny Cash" Roger was born October 29, 1939, and went to join his heavenly family on April 11, 2016. He served nine years in the US Air Force and used his training from there when he went to work at the Bremerton shipyard, McNeil Island, and JBLM. He worked as an Electronics Technician all of his life until his retirement from Federal Service. He had his own business, Diversified Electronics, as a technical consultant after retirement, and his tag line was "when you get excuses instead of service". Roger loved his work, calling himself The Toy Maker. He was preceded in death by Bobby, his wife of 40 years, his son Gary, and baby Laurie Jo. He found joy in his later life by his marriage to Lucille, and discovered a love for vacationing around the country with her. He will be missed by Lucy, his daughters Cheryl (Dan) D'Andrea, Tracy (John) Goretti, and Debbie Terwilliger, his grandkids, and his extended family, to include Lucy's sons Dennis, Michael, and Timothy, their families, and many other friends and relatives. We thank the kind folks at Hearthside Manor Memory Care, and request donations to the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers. If he could offer a final sentiment, it would be "always think happy thoughts". Services will be at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd, Lakewood WA, at 1:00 PM on Sunday, April 17th.
