Ruby Hasbrouck Obituary

Ruby Louvain Hasbrouck Age 93, returned Home to the Lord on Thursday, November 15, 2007, after a short illness. Ruby was born on September 30, 1914 in Vancouver, BC to Robert and Sarah Porter and was raised in Canada where she graduated from Vancouver High School. In 1984, she married Jack Hasbrouck in Tacoma, Washington, and together they traveled the world. Ruby visited many places, including Europe and Spain with her son Robert, his wife Jean, and her two grandkids. She had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest! Ruby was an amazing mother, grandmother, and friend, with a gracious and kind spirit. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sharing her stories, often over a bowl of her favorite strawberry ice cream. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and son Brian. She is survived by her son Robert Hunter, grandsons Aron and Jason Hunter, and three great grandchildren, as well as many friends and extended relatives. A celebration of Ruby's life will be held Saturday, November 17, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., at Life Center in Tacoma, Washington. We would like to thank all of our friends and family for support during this difficult time. Please extend Ruby's memory through your kindness towards others, as Ruby always wanted everyone to feel welcomed and loved.
