William Jeffrey Hill, of Puyallup, Washington, born September 30, 1941, passed away on January 9, 2026. Emily McNeir Hill

February 11, 2026

The McNeir Family respectfully offer their condolences to the family of William J Hill, particularly his sons and his grandchildren.

From 1970, and until his death, Bill remained a member of Our branch of the extended Hill-McNeir family; joining in sailing regattas; our families high-holiday parties; sending years of "wish you were here" post cards (to our parents) from his various duty stations, and always regaling us with fascinating, detailed, and (true to his character;) hilarious drawn-out stories of his adventures -- and Mis-adventures!

Bill was a devoted father and grandfather; and included his family in his mountain climbing, travel, and sports enthusiasms.

Bill's patriotism was a credit to the United States, evidenced by his excellence in service to the military, civil service Air Force duty, and Pentagon assignments.

Although hard to imagine for Some, family ties did endure over the years.

This was the reality in Bill's case. He was *Always* one-of-us!
