William McPhee Obituary

William Archibald McPhee William Archibald McPhee was born in Aberdeen, WA, on November 25, 1921, to William and Mabel McPhee. He graduated from Rochester High School, Saint Martin's College, and St. Louis Medical School. He was a loving, caring man who lived a remarkable, Christian focused life and is blessed by a wife of 66 years. He married Georgia Mae Lynch on June 20, 1945, and was a devoted husband. They raised 9 children: Kathy (Earl) Bowyer, Diane (Art) Joyner, Scott (Hope) McPhee, Colleen (John) Swesey, Brad (Nancy) McPhee, Mark (Molly) McPhee, Maureen (Mark) Pfister, Bryce (Alice) McPhee, and James (Dana) McPhee. He took pride in their 31 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Bill started the McPhee basketball tradition as a 4-year letterman at St. Martin's. He was a Navy physician and practiced medicine in Tacoma for 40 years. He was passionate about golf and enjoyed fishing. He touched many lives and will be missed by all. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 11:00 am. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Frank Senecal MD, Narrows Glen Retirement Community, and Franciscan Hospice House for their loving care of our father. The Condon Family sends condolences to the Mcphee family. Our parents shared many wonderful years playing Golf together and taking trips to "the desert" every Winter. Wonderful memories live on. Hold them close and they will comfort.
