Sarah Tabor Obituary
She was a manager at Tabor TV & Appliances for many years and a volunteer at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown. Mrs. Tabor was a member of Brownstown Christian Church and had been a Sunday school teacher and a Bible school teacher there for several years. She was a member of Esther Circle and Golden Wheels Senior Group, both through the church.
Born June 29, 1929, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Clarence and Edith Braden Spurgeon. She married Fletcher Tabor, and he preceded her in death Feb. 28, 1999.
Survivors include her children, Becky (Joe) Wakefield, Gene (Sue) Tabor and Ross (Kristi) Tabor; four grandchildren, Chris (Ashlee) Tabor, Laura (Ben) Pasquith, Dan (Mariana) Wakefield and J.T. (Kristen) Wakefield; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, James Arthur Spurgeon; and an infant brother.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Brownstown Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brownstown Christian Church or to Red Sky Rescue.
Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown is handling the arrangements.

Dear Becky, Gene and Ross
I was so sorry to hear of your mom's illness and passing. It's so hard to try to help them go through the trials of growing older and then to lose them. Your mother was always so kind to me. Becky, I remember feeling so lucky to spend some time with both you and Teresa one summer. I'm sure you two thought, "What do we do with this little kid?" I remember going to your house for several Christmas get togethers. It's hard to know that almost all of our parents are gone but we still have fun memories of them. Love to all of your families and thinking of you, no matter how far away we all are.
