Daniel Lamar Taylor

1959 - 2024

TAYLOR - Brother Daniel Lamar Taylor was born May 21, 1959, to the late Minister Mary Jean Taylor and William Taylor in Kingsland, Ga. Daniel was affectionately known as "Danny Boy" to all those who knew and loved him. He attended the Camden County Schools system, where he played on the varsity football team and was a graduate in the class of 1977. After graduation, Daniel went on to work at Rhone Poulenc for 15 years, Durango Paper Mill for nine years and then started his own mobile auto mechanic and home improvement business, Handy Danny.
On Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, Daniel departed his earthly home for his heavenly home.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Minister Mary Jean Taylor; sister, Dell Marie Taylor; and brother, Carlton Taylor Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories his father, William Taylor (Catherine); wife of 39 years, Dell Taylor; children, Lamont Taylor (Latavia), Andre Taylor (Holly) and Shakeidre Taylor; grandchildren, Kayden Stevenson, Carter Stevenson, Dominic Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Marvin Holzendorf, Rayna Brookens and Xander Brookens; siblings, Veronica Washington, Eric Taylor (Bernadine) and Jamaal Taylor; and a host of sorrowing aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and special friends. Daniel "Danny Boy" Taylor was loved and respected by many in Camden County and other surrounding communities.
Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at Lawnwood Cemetery, 200 Scrubby Bluff Road in Kingsland, Ga. A visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
