Mark Vann Stewart

STEWART - Dr. Mark Vann Stewart, 64, of St. Marys, Ga., passed away peacefully Sept. 25, 2025.
Mark was born in Griffin, Ga., to Millard Lee Stewart Jr. and Elizabeth "Anne" Lord Stewart.
Mark was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend. He shared 32 loving years of marriage with his wife, Susie Swarts Stewart, and was a proud father to his son, Adam Christopher Stewart.
Mark is survived by his mother, Anne; brothers, Mel Stewart (Sandi) of Edmond, Okla., and twin brother, Clark Stewart (Karen) of Lehi, Utah; and a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mark's love for his family was unwavering, and his presence brought warmth, laughter and kindness to all who knew him.
Mark loved the Lord, his family, golf and the Georgia Bulldogs. Throughout his life, Mark touched many with his generous spirit, quiet strength and faithful service through his church, Eleven22. Whether spending time with loved ones, offering a helping hand or simply sharing a smile, he lived with sincerity and compassion.
Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Georgia. He continued his education and received his Master's and Specialist Degrees of Education at Valdosta State University. Mark completed his education by obtaining his EdD at the University of Sarasota.
Dr. Stewart served Camden County Schools for more than 30 years as a teacher, coach, administrator and? assistant superintendent, before accepting a new challenge as Assistant Superintendent of Operations for Coastal Plains High School.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life was noon Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, at Kingsland First Baptist Church, 295 E. Chester Street in Kingsland, Ga. The family began receiving friends at 10 a.m. at the church.
