John F. Reddeman

1943 - 2024

Wyocena, WI - John F. Reddeman, age 81, of Poynette, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Columbia Healthcare Center in Wyocena.

John was born on June 5, 1943, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Fredrick "Fritz" and Mary Elizabeth (Young) Reddeman. He was proud of having been an Eagle Scout. John served his country in the U.S. Army and as a member of the 132nd Army National Guard Band for 33 years. John married Peggy Ann Mabry on September 17, 1966. She preceded him in death on May 16, 2013. John had worked as a carpenter for many years. He was a member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, the Poynette Curling Club and Poynette American Legion. He loved spending time with his grandkids and going on vacations with his wife, family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Justin (Charlotte) Reddeman and their children, Jacob (Alexandra), Elizabeth, Caleb and Megan Reddeman; his daughter, Amy (Erick) Kangas and their sons, Kade and Kashton Kangas; sister-in-law, Ginny Moll, sister-in-law Cheri (Gary) Konrad, sister-in-law, Barb Reddeman; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Peggy, brother, Robert Reddeman, nephew, Matt Reddeman, brother-in-law, John Moll, and his in-laws, Leonard and Norma (Larsen) Mabry.



Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, August 23, 2024, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Arlington, with Rev. David Juhl officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, with military honors provided by Poynette Area Veterans. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Pflanz Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette and at the church on Friday 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
