Linda Meyer Obituary

MADISON, WI - Linda Meyer, 85, died peacefully on June 29, 2025. She was born on September 4, 1939, the daughter of Ione and David Manke.

A lifelong Wisconsin resident, Linda spent her early years in Windsor before the family moved to Lodi where she graduated from high school. She had so many fond memories of those days with her family and friends, being a cheerleader, prom queen, and working at the family's A&W drive-in restaurant.

Linda and her husband, Ron, moved the family to Madison in 1974. With the kids all of school age, she started working outside the home as a personal banker. Several years later she embarked on a successful career in real estate which she continued until retirement.

Linda was a strong, determined, independent and fun-loving woman who enjoyed home renovation projects, bowling, golf, dancing, singing, walking, baking (especially pies) for the family, writing poetry, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and siblings. Linda loved to laugh and especially enjoyed time spent with her siblings, Ann (Al) Johnson, Steve (Jane) Manke, Ellie (Jim) Michel and David (Sandy) Manke; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda will be missed by her children, Kevin (Lorrie) Meyer, Lisa Meyer and Karen (Jerry) Thrasher. She loved her grandchildren, Emily, Zachary, Clover, Rowan, Abigail and Joe; and great-grandchildren, Sophia, Benjamin, Theo and Elsie. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ronda (Joe) Rott; brother, David; and former husband, Ronald (Diane Ganiere) Meyer.

The family would like to thank Sienna Meadows Memory Care and Agrace Hospice for their respectful, kind and compassionate care of Linda.

A family gathering will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare, Fitchburg, Wis. (www.agrace.org). Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
