Allen Stamey Obituary
He is preceded in death by Maxine Burnette Stamey, his wife of 71 years.
A Navy veteran, Bud served in the Korean War and returned home where he expanded his mechanical skillset in a career with Sonoco Products Company for 42 years. In retirement, Bud enjoyed mastering building everything, from bird houses to model RC airplanes.
Bud is survived by Daughter- Nancy (Bill) Eubanks, Daughter- Tanya (Kenny) Phillips, Grandson- Carey (April) Westgate, Grandson- Will Eubanks, Great Grandson- Hollis Westgate, and many friends whom he held dear.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Services are scheduled for Friday, January 20th at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin officiating. Interment will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA on January 26th at 11:00 am with honors.
