Caleb Hampton Obituary

Caleb Adamson Hampton

April 28, 1990 - February 29, 2024

Pasco, Washington - Caleb Adamson Hampton passed away on February 29, 2024 in Pendleton, Oregon at the age of 33. His family and friends are deeply saddened by his unexpected death. Caleb was born on April 28, 1990 in Portland, Oregon and was a long-time Tri-Cities resident along with his family.

The second of five children, Caleb was a world traveler from a young age, living with his family in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Houston, Texas and Shanghai, China until his early elementary years. Caleb lived in the Pacific Northwest, including Pendleton, Seattle, Portland and the Tri-Cities. He attended Pendleton High School and Bridges Academy in Bend, OR. He completed his GED and a number of courses at Columbia Basin College, and graduated from CBC with an advanced two-year certification in welding.

During his career, Caleb worked as a skilled welder and fabricator, constructing large commercial signs, food processing equipment and seismic retrofitting historic buildings in Portland. He also worked in the family rental business in Pendleton, transforming dilapidated properties into residential homes.

Caleb was a talented photographer who captured striking nature photographs during trips where he was also able to pursue some of his other beloved passions, including hiking, camping, and surfing, across the Pacific Northwest, as well as in Ireland, Scotland, and Mexico.

Caleb is greatly beloved and mourned by his family and friends, who cherish memories of his caring, creativity, humor, generosity of spirit and joy for life. He loved his family and friends dearly, and adored his children who were the light of his life. He was a wonderful father, son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, and friend. Caleb overcame many challenges in life and touched the lives of so many people. He is truly missed and will never be forgotten.

Caleb is survived and missed by his two children, Aurora Roebuck and Jameson Dean Hampton. He will be forever cherished and remembered by his parents, William and Felicity Hampton, and his sisters Kathryn, Cassandra, Keren and Keziah Hampton, as well as by many relatives in his extended family in the US and Ireland, by friends around the world and by his loyal dog Ritter.

The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that you make contributions to the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy (tccbestlife.org) in lieu of flowers and contribute by sharing memories of our beloved Caleb on the memorial website:

I am so very sorry to hear this tragic news. I just saw in a couple months ago in the store and we had a nice visit. My heart breaks for his mother and his family, children. Lord have mercy.
