CAROL JEAN CRAIG CAROL JEAN CRAIG, better known as Jean, passed away Tuesday, March 28th, 2017 at the age of 89. Jean was born to Fred and Isabella Raymond on December 24th, 1927 in LaCrosse, WA. She graduated from Prescott High School in 1946. She moved to Walla Walla, WA for her first job at the local newspaper. She then met and married her 1st husband, Lou Magnaghi, and they moved to College Place, WA. It was in College Place that their 2 children, Andrea and Jerry were born. Jean is best remembered for her love of traveling and collecting all types of small keepsake elephants. She went on 8 cruises mainly with her sister Joan and other family members and friends. She and Joan also traveled by car across country visiting as many states and historical sites as they could. She cherished her many trips to Lincoln City, Oregon with her sisters, her daughter, grandchildren, and friends. She loved her grandchildren who always brought a smile to her face. Jean was one of the original members of the Tri-City Americans Hockey Booster Club. She was an enthusiastic fan and traveled to many of the "away" games. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Charles and Harold Raymond, and her sisters Velma Whidden and Freda Cummins. She is survived by her youngest sister, Joan Hays, her daughter Andrea (Duane) Sorbel, her son Jerry (Rita) Magnaghi, 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition, a long-time dear friend, Doris Jean Stacey. I'm so blessed to have known Jean and her family for around five years. I worked at a community that Jean lived at, she greeted me as soon as I walked in with a "good morning " and big smile. We shared many laughs and great conversations, she was always there if I needed to talk as I was for her. To her precious family that feel like family to me, Andi, Dwayne and Joan, just know that Heaven is a little brighter, and angels are singing, you will have a special place in my heart always, love you all.
