CAROL FELSTED Obituary

Carol Leonardson Felsted, beloved wife of H.W. "Pete" Felsted passed away on April 8, 2013 in Utah, surrounded by her loving husband and children.

Carol was born February 2, 1940 to Rhule and Gladys Leonardson. Raised in Dubois, Idaho, she met her husband at BYU, married in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple and later recieved her degree in Elementary Education, from the University of Idaho.

Her six children deeply miss their beautiful mother. A devout member of the LDS church, Carol insisted on Saturday night baths, straightened ties, and pressed dresses for Sunday services. She enjoyed helping in the church as organist, children's chorister and in the Relief Society.

Carol was an expert at making the small things matter. Handwritten Valentines, home-canned grape juice, casserole dinners, everything she created was infused with sacrifice and love. She adored Christmas, spending hours picking out the perfect tree, arranging the Nativity and searching for that oh-so-right gift. She had a great love for music. Piano playing, singing, and watching musicals were all a part of family life.

For many years Carol valiantly lived, her body suffering with pain from multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia and scoliosis. All members of her family will be forever grateful for her legacy: a willingness to endure pain without complaint, a love of family and unshakable faith in Jesus Christ. We deeply admire our father as he cheerfully cared for her every need.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years Pete Felsted; mother Glady Leonardson; brothers and their wives Gary (Janeen), David (Tarri), Rich (Jackie); her children and their spouses Scott (Lynette), Ralene (Tim Wiberg), Karen (Brent Ripley), Marc, Janell (William Waters), Angla (Pete Larsen); twentyfour grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by her and her husband's close friends, Jim and Lola Fish. She was preceded in death by her father, Rhule Leonardson and her greatgranddaughter Telaai Wiberg.

Funeral services will be held in Provo, Utah on April 13, 2013. Condolences can be sent to www.carolfelsted.blogspot.com.

I remember Carol Leonardson very well, very pretty young lady. I even helped coach their sports on year while she was in high school.

I would like to put her obit in our local Idaho newspaper and need the name of the funeral home where she was. Bonnie ([email protected]) Thanks, Bonnie Stoddard, Dubois, ID
