Cecelia Ward Obituary

Cecelia Ward, mother of Michele D. Mazzei (Ronnie G. Hoglen, Jr.), Harold A. Mazzei, and Natalie A. Maiuri (Steven W.); and grandmother of Michael A. LaRiviere and Sophia G. Maiuri, made her transition to her next adventure on Sept. 6, 2025. She was 81 years young.

Cecelia lived her life to the fullest, especially after the age of 50. She considered herself a late bloomer but when she finally bloomed, she blossomed. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and all of her wonderful friends!

Cecelia had many lifelong female friends that she went to high school with in Pasco. These women were like her family. They had gone through all of the emotional and fulfilling experiences of her life, the good and not so good times. She was a support to them during their experiences as well, and she was blessed to have so many friends for so many years of her life.

Cecelia was an adventurer and loved traveling. She spent time in the Caribbean, Australia, Hawaii, Europe, Mexico, and many places throughout North America. She loved to seek out other cultures and experience them as best as she could as a tourist. She was full of life and enjoyed new adventures. Swimming with the wild spinner dolphins in Hawaii was one of her most treasured trips. She was thrilled to have the opportunity to move there in 2021! She truly embraced the meaning of Living with Aloha.

Cecelia loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished many special moments and adventures with them. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her!

Cecelia was a licensed practitioner at the Center for Spiritual Living of Tri Cities for many years. During her time at the Center she was very active in all the classes, workshops, and services. Serving others and serving God were most important to her.

Cecelia is survived by her children, grandchildren and siblings, Evelyn Kennedy (Jim) and Rena R. Ward.

She will be missed but never forgotten. She had a smile that lit up any room she came into. She was a blessing to all that knew her. She always felt blessed by those she knew. Have fun Cecelia, we know that you will on your newest adventure!

A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion, 1029 West Sylvester Street in Pasco, Wash. on Nov. 9, 2025 from 2-5 p.m. Love, laughter, stories, photos, music and food will be shared.
