Charles Enfield Obituary

Charles (Chuck) Edward Enfield
December 17, 1932 - December 23, 2022
Tacoma , Washington - Chuck Enfield, age 90, died the evening of December 23, 2022, in Tacoma, WA.
Chuck is survived by his devoted daughters, Connie Best (Richard) and Donna Lindell (Roger). He is also survived by his five granddaughters, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Jan, one great-granddaughter and his five siblings.
Chuck was born in Albert Lea, MN to Joseph (Darwin) and Evangeline Enfield. When he was a child, the family moved from the farm in MN to Tacoma where he later graduated from Bellarmine. Chuck served in the Army before taking over the family Electrical business, which he was so proud of, as it flourished in Lakewood and then in the Tri-Cities where he ultimately retired.
Chuck was very athletic and excelled in every sport he participated in. High School football was his most proud topic of conversation! Chuck and Jan were members of several country clubs throughout their lives, enjoying tennis, golf, and very much the social aspects. They were loved by many.
In Chuck's post-retirement years, he volunteered his time at the Kadlec Cancer Center and a local elementary helping children learn to read. He was an avid reader himself and always gifted his grandchildren with classic books.
Chuck loved his family deeply, both immediate and extended. There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with us all. He will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held at St. Francis Cabrini in Lakewood WA on Friday January 27th with Rosary at 10:30 AM followed by Mass at 11:00 AM.

It is with great sadness that I express my sympathy to Connie, Donna, and their families. My sister Jan was the love of Chuck's life, and I am comforted with the knowledge that their souls are united once again in God's love. There are so many good memories of him that put a smile on my face. I couldn't have asked for a better brother in law. Rest in peace, my brother and friend; until we meet again.
With love,
Judy

Chuck and Jan were our very good friends. We had years of good times together. They were a great couple -so giving and hospitable. Chuck was a sweetheart and everyone loved him.

I am so spotty to see of Chucks passing. He and Jan were my parents good friends, Art and Margie Hudtloff. I used to babysit for them. My Dad also just recently passed on. Chuck will be joining that big poker table in the the sky where many of he will be welcomed many of his Lakewood buddies. RIP Chuck.
