David Walker Obituary

Our oldest brother, Dave, passed away May 8th, 2025, in the house his grandfather built. David was born July 22nd, 1963, to Thomas C (Tom) and Ann M Walker (Mokler) in Great Falls, Montana. He graduated from Kennewick High School in 1981 and went on to Columbia Basin College and the University of Washington where he earned a degree in Business Administration. He was a proud member of the Washington National Guard having joined after graduating high school.

He moved to California in 1987 where he worked variously in the banking and finance industry. He especially loved the banking industry when helping to finance Movie and TV productions. He also took an interest in screen writing while in California and this was his true love. He returned home to the family house in 2016 and worked as a loan officer at Banner Bank until his death. Having always loved the sea and sailing, Dave was also a member of the Coast Guard Reserve Axillary and served as their treasurer. He assisted and enjoyed helping the Coast Guard Reserve at the Columbia Cup. He lived the last years of his life with Lucy and Luna, two beautiful little kitties he happily adopted from the Humane Society.

Dave joins his parents, Ann M Walker (Mokler) and Thomas C (Tom) Walker who have also passed away. I am quite sure his mom has already cooked him a huge dinner with homemade cookies for dessert. He is survived by his brothers, William F (Bill) Walker, Thomas L (Tom) Walker and his youngest brother Jerry E (Jerry) Walker and Jerry's wife Penny and their daughter, Cana.

A small graveside service will take place at the family plot at Desert Lawn Cemetery in Kennewick on November 28th at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to say a few words. In lieu of flowers, please adopt a pet from the Benton/Franklin Humane Society.
