Our prayers and condolences are extended to the family and friends of Vickie Friend.
It was our great privilege to be able to provide care for Ms Friend while she was at Crestwood. She always smiled and made the students feel at ease as they cared for her. Her gracious and loving nature was evident to each and everyone of us.

To the Friend Family,
Our family have known the Friends for many years. Their presence in the Huntsville community has and continues to spread warmth and fellowship.
I never had the pleasure of knowing Vickie. I vaguely remember seeing her years ago when as a young boy i tagged along with my parents when they visited Vickie's parents. But I never knew the woman that by all accounts grew to be a vibrant person, a loving daughter, sister, mother, and friend.
Our prayers and thoughts are for those that feels sadness upon her departure. God has taken her to Heaven where Life is Everlasting.

I have known Vickie for 13 years, she was a wonderful kind woman, I was her neighbor, she always made a point to speak to me, she had the heart of an angel, I saw her almost everyday, as she was a health conscious jogger. I also worked at the local grocery store where she shopped, she would always stop to talk. My heartfelt sympathy goes to the family, especially Travis. Vickie will always be in my heart but, God needed her to be with him now. It will be a great loss to the community but it is a great feeling to know Vickie will be watching over all of the people she knew,as well as the ones she didn't. You see she will stay in my heart forever. She was one of the first person that welcomed me to the neighborhood. She truly will be missed, I will miss her. With Love, Lisa Dickerson

There are no words, When James and I heard we just did not want to belive it. We went down memory lane and thought of the many wonderful times we have spent with Vickie "Mazell". He smile and laughter will always be with us and we will keep her alive by all the many wonderful deeds she has done. Unfortunatly we will not be able to make it to the services but we plan to visit Mr. and Mrs. Friend the next time we are home and will send a donation for Travis. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. As James and I was saying the Friends have been the people we have known the longest outside of family which made you family. Love always, Larry Donnell Davis

Dear Friend family and friends,
As a long time friend of Vickie's sister, I can truly say my memories of Vickie will be filled with remembering her gregarious personality. Vickie always offered me words of encouragement no matter where I'd see her around (in the grocery store, church, etc.) Vickie's sweet and kind hearted spirit will not be forgotten.

Vickie,
You will be sadly missed. Although lives tend to part from one another, memories are never forgotten. You had the most vibrant personality of anyone I can remember during my years of school. You always had a smile on your face or something kind to say. We have lost a dear friend, and we don't always understand God's timing. But I am sure that you are an angel of God and I will see you one day in heaven. May you smile upon us and may your family put all their faith in God to help them through this time of loss.
