I first met Jon as I was taking over his job at Rio Tinto. They were laying him off and I was going to be over taking his position. We spent a week trying to figure out what he was doing and how I was going to keep it up. Three weeks after he was let go, I was able to persuade them to bring him back as he was doing a lot more than they knew he was doing. While we worked together over the years at Rio we became really good friends. Even after the years we have remained fairly close as we would get together every so often for a poker game or to watch a football game. This news was a shocker for me and I wish his whole family the strength to get through this terrible hard time. Our prayer are with you all!
