Mom, we talk about you almost every day. Madi loves to look at the pictures of you and her together and talks about you all the time. She says how much she loves you and knows you are in heaven with Jesus.

I miss your smile, your contagious laughter, the words you still said with that catchy southern twang. I love that I still say words the way you did while I was growing up. Words like "buggy" instead of cart and "hermitile" instead of hysterical. That words till makes me crack up.

As a family we gathered together on October 25th and went to your gravesite. It was a beautiful day. The sun was out and there were so many beautiful flowers at everyone's gravesite. Afterwards we went to Chapala Express, your favorite Mexican spot and we ate our favorite dishes in your honor. Later we went to Bill's house and I made crepes with that delicious cool whip filling you used to make and strawberries on top. I even used the same crepe maker you used when we were little. It must be around 45 years old. Natalie will be using it to make crepes for Thanksgiving in a few weeks and that crepe maker will get passed around for years to come as we recreate your delicious crepes and reminisce about all the wonderful times with you.

It was a truly wonderful occasion to gather and talk about how much we miss and love you.

You are never far from my thoughts. You will always remain my cherished mother.

Love,

Crystal

I love you mom. Thank you for taking me as family 27+ years ago. I will truly miss our "night owl" talks when everyone else was fast asleep. Thank you for being the best Nana ever to my daughters. You were a true blessing in my life and I will miss you terribly.
