Karen Sperle

1942 - 2025

Karen was born in Salt Lake City Utah, her parents were John and Mary Hall, she was the oldest of 9 children, Her Father was career Air Force so they moved around some until he retired. She spent several years in Hawaii and Kwajolein in the South Pacific where her brother Douglas was born. After her Father retired they settled in Sacramento Calif. This is where she met her husband Frank. She wanted to be a teenage bride so they got married August 11 1962 and she turned 20 August 23th. They were married 63 years. They had 3 children, Frank Jr. Diane and Donald who died one day after his birth. There are 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. When she was young her Grandmother Sackett told her butterflies was special, especially the yellow ones and she believed that her whole life. There will be a Celebration of Life on November 15, 2025 at 2 p.m. at:

Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
