LOIS MAE JONES Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home Lois Mae Jones was the first born "Baby Girl" to Charles Lawrence Warriner and Alice Ada Sluiter-Warriner on May 22, 1928 in Stickney, South Dakota. She was truly the Apple of her Daddy's eye, and had her mama wrapped around her little finger. She grew up in their family home on "G" street in Grandview, where by the age of two she was the proud "Big Sister" to Mary Fae. Sadly, only 15 months later, Lois was an only child, as Mary Fae got very ill, and passed quickly. She graduated from Grandview High School in 1946, and had continued contact with several classmates until the last few years. After graduating Lois Moved to Richland where she worked in clerical for several years with the Hanford nuclear program, and for many years she could not even speak about the work that she was involved in. She always wanted to marry a "Tall, Blonde, Blue-eyed Gentleman" and that she did! She married the love of her life on August 28, 1949. After their marriage, they were provided an "F" house that they were able to purchase. They were very proud of their home. Lois said they were allowed to purchase the "F" house. She "loved" to cook, clean, and garden at their new home. She said on many occasions they entertained "Mother and Daddy" be it Warriner or Jones there. After only a few of years at Hanford, Kenny joined the USAF, and they moved all over the world, whether she was modeling fur coats in Morocco, or driving Taxi in the Philippines, along with her numerous volunteering jobs, she loved Air Force Life! They retired in Moore, Oklahoma in the 1980's, and finally moved "home" to the Tri-Cities in 2009. Lois was proceeded in death by her husband Kenneth in January, 2017. She is survived by a Daughter, Karren Garton, her husband, George, Granddaughter Molli. She is also survived by Ken's sister, two nieces, one nephew, and their families. Viewing will be on Friday, April 28th evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, with Services on Saturday the 29th of April at 11:00 at the Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home.
