Marion Fairchild

1942 - 2025

Marion Herbert Fairchild born September 4, 1942 entered into the presence of the Lord at the age of 83 on October 4, 2025. He was a lifelong Christian and a devoted follower of Christ.

Marion was born in El Paso Texas and raised there as well as in Roswell New Mexico and Bend Oregon. He was an FFA member and graduated from Bend High School and enlisted in the US Navy. After his service, Marion met his wife while helping a friend roof a home and married her shortly after. He moved to Kennewick with his wife and children in 1977. He worked as an Electrician and in the electrical field throughout his life often traveling for work. He was a lifelong Elks Member. After retirement he and his wife Judy enjoyed traveling around the country in their RV trailer and visiting family and friends.

Marion is survived by his Brother John Fairchild (Bend Oregon), two Children Mitchell Fairchild and Amy Simmons, Grand Children Viola Simmons, Levi Simmons, Jessica Fairchild, Kiera Fairchild, Timothy Simmons, Richard Simmons, and GiGi Simmons and five great Grand Children. He was reunited with his Wife of 59 years Judy (Huwe) Fairchild, Parents R.M. (Robert Mitchell) and Viola Fairchild, and Brother Jim Fairchild in Heaven.

We rejoice in the promise of eternal life and take comfort in knowing that Marion is resting in the presence of the Lord. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and colleagues. A Celebration of Marion's life is planned for October 25th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church at 9:30 a.m. He is now at peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
