Pasco, Washington - Michael "Mike" Fitzpatrick, 69, died at home on February 26, 2022 of Corticobasal Degeneration. Born on June 4, 1952 in Richland, WA, Mike lived most of his life in the Tri-Cities.
While attending CBC he married his high school sweetheart Peggy Bolson in 1972. After two years at CBC, where he later was inducted into the CBC Wrestling Hall of Fame, he had an opportunity to continue he wrestling career and education at the University of Washington where he was named a NCAA All-American wrestler in 1973.
After college, Mike began an electrical lineman apprenticeship in Southwest Washington where he gained his journeyman lineman certification. He then returned to the Tri-Cities where he spent the next 26 years working with various electrical companies. During this time he taught at NWJCT, an organization he worked with for over 35 years. Retiring in 2003, he then began a second career starting his own business where he taught journeyman lineman level courses for the NWPPA and various other national organizations.
Mike spent most of this free time with his family enjoying whitewater rafting, fishing, camping, and other outdoor activities. He continued to foster his love of wrestling/sports by volunteering with local high school programs and supported his family members in their many sporting activities.
Mike is survived by his wife, father, sister, brother, three daughters, eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and other family members who loved him dearly.
