Mitchell Johnson Obituary

Mitchell Chaney Johnson
August 3, 1987 - April 27, 2022
Pasco, Washington - Mitchell Chaney Johnson, aka "Mitchy Slick," was born August 3, 1987, to Jerry and Rose Johnson. He passed away April 27, 2022, at Chaplaincy House in Kennewick. Before he passed, friends and family members visited Mitchell to express their love for him and to say their good-byes. His family express their profound thanks to the Chaplaincy House nurses who gave him comfort at the end. His fondest memories were made with his family, his many friends, and his co-workers at the Tri-Cities restaurants where he was a bartender and waiter. He is survived by his mother Rose Johnson (Cary Counts); brothers Bret (Cindy) and Matthew (Ashley) Johnson; aunt Diana Campbell (Dave), uncles Rolo (Janet) and Ruben Esparza; nieces Jaelyn (Andy) Gardner and Carlee Johnson; nephew Jeret Johnson; cousins Jason (Michelle), Ryan (Jenny), Paul, and Julia Lang and Brian (Leslie), Brandon (Emily), Andrew (Jillian), and Susan Esparza. Mitchell was preceded in death by his father Jerry E. Johnson and grandparents Ruben and Elida Esparza. He was a life-long fan of the Green Bay Packers. He collected memorabilia of the Packers and his favorite movies. He loved playing video games, golfing, and fishing with his friends. A Mass will be held at 11:00 am on June 11, 2022, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kennewick, followed by a Celebration of Life at the church's Dillon Hall. Lunch will be provided. During his short life, Mitchell touched the lives of many, those he called his "brothers" and "sisters."
