Philip Stroh Obituary
Philip Mark Stroh
July 23, 1958 - August 14, 2023
Burbank, Washington - Philip "Mark" Stroh (Grandpa Mark), 65, of Burbank, Washington, was called home to be with the Lord on August 14th, 2023. He was born in Pasco, Washington on July 23rd, 1958 and was a Tri-City resident for 55 years. Mark was a proud parent of two children and an even prouder grandpa to his eight grandchildren.
Mark first started working at 15 years old at a gas station in Pasco, WA and shortly after became a mechanic at Boise Cascade. He attended Columbia Basin College where he received a degree in welding. He worked at many construction sites as a welder including Hanford. He later became a welding instructor at various institutions such as Tri-Tech, Columbia Basin College, Big Bend Community College, and Coyote Ridge Corrections Center. Former students enjoyed crossing paths with him and sharing their success in the field.
Beyond the classroom, Mark also taught boxing to youths for many years as a coach at various Tri-City boxing clubs and volunteered his time at the Boys and Girls Club.
Grandpa Mark's greatest passion in life was being a grandpa to his eight grandchildren, Ana, Gavin, Grady, Londyn, Olivia, Scarlyt, Sylver, and Kennedy. He loved getting them out of the house and taking them on adventures in the mountains, out to ice cream, and on long drives. He was his grandchildren's greatest fan and wouldn't miss supporting them at every sporting event and school function. He loved telling them tall tales and fables and of his wild and adventurous childhood he spent with his older brothers Bob and Mike.
Besides his grandchildren, Mark enjoyed gardening and took pride in his home and yard. He was Mr. Fix It to his children Kathrine and Jeremy who could always count on him to help with projects around their house. On the weekends he loved taking long drives through Idaho, Montana, and Oregon with his wife Tammie, visiting old towns and reminiscing about former adventures.
Mark was a proud, upstanding citizen who was proud of his country and always stood for what he believed in. His smile, laugh, and sense of humor will be missed by all that knew him.
Mark is survived by his wife Tammie Stroh, son Jeremy Stroh, daughter Kathrine Kinzer (Garrett), mother Ellen Quigley, brothers Bob Stroh (Jaylie), Mike Stroh (Shelly), Scott Crowder, Prior Quigley (Marge), Shane Quigley, and Pete Quigley, sisters Jan Myers (Mike) and Heidi Inman, his eight grandchildren and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Stroh and Grandma and Grandpa Bragg.
Mark will be sorely missed by all that knew him. Memorial services will be held August 25th, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home in Kennewick, Washington. A funeral reception will be held at Life Tributes Center in Kennewick, Washington immediately following.
