REV. ROBERT (BOB) E. DICKENSON Rev. Robert (Bob) E Dickenson, founder of Dayspring Ministries, Jail and Prison Ministry took flight on August 21st at 11:32 am after accepting his last "calling" on earth to meet with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in Heaven. Bob was surrounded by his loved ones in the comfort of his home in the last days of his life in Kennewick, Washington. Bob Dickenson was born on Easter Sunday of April 1931 in Pendleton, Oregon to Robert and Daisy Dickenson. He married his wonderful wife and partner for life, Wanda B. Dickenson on December 28th, 1949 and Founded Dayspring Ministries in 1983. Bob Dickenson, Brother Bob, Chaplain Bob, heard God's call to spread the gospel in local jails and prisons beginning in 1966 while working in construction. Less than 20 years later he laid down the hammer and was led by faith alone to pursue the genuine love God put in his heart for all inmates through-out the northwest and became a full-time ordained Chaplain. Matthew 25: 31-46 He was preceded in death by his son, Tracy Dickenson; his grandson, Justin Dickenson; his granddaughter, Jennifer Dickenson; and his sisters, Lavonne Petty and Rosalie Collins-Kornoely. He is survived by his brothers, Leroy and Rodney Dickenson; his sisters, Patricia Ralston, Merilyn Pullen and Colleen Lee; and his one love and wife of 66 years, Wanda B. Dickenson; his 8 children, Christy Hill, Bobby Dickenson III, Richard Dickenson, Kelly Dickenson, Troy Dickenson, Terry Dickenson, Tricia Pyke and Trina Gerg, and their spouses; as well as 28 Grandchildren and 41 Great-grandchildren and their spouses. Bob's love for the Lord superseded all things. If he won one soul to the Lord in all his 85 years of life, he would find that victorious. Though he has touched so many lives, his complete desire would be for you to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior today. Memorial will be held at Harvest Heights Assembly of God in Kennewick on Saturday, August 27th at 1:00pm.
