Sally Ann Cossalter, Mother, Wife, and Interior Designer

Mrs. Sally Cossalter transitioned into loving peace on the morning of May 21, 2012, with her loving husband and children surrounding her.

Sally was born on November 30, 1941, in Bakersfield, California, the daughter of Leeshen and Frances Henslee. She graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1960 and married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Cossalter.

Sally loved decorating and started her career in 1966 in the Seattle area. She also worked in design while she and her family lived in Kamloops, British Columbia; then she worked in the custom design department of JCPenney's from 1980 until she retired.

Sally was an avid reader and a serious "chocoholic" (Hershey's was her favorite), but her true passion was her children. According to her husband, Tom, she was the best housewife and mother ever! She took care of everything ... and every one; simply put, "if she met you, she loved (and worried about) you."
Sally was 70 years old at her time of passing. Sally's last residence was Benton City. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Cossalter of Benton City, WA. Surviving children are: Stephen of Kennewick, WA; Kari of Benton City; Amber of Pasco. Surviving grandchildren are: Thomas of Pasco, Stephenie of Kennewick, Dreyden and Chloe of Pasco. Surviving great-grandchildren are: Sally and Solana of Kennewick.

Sally was also the second of eight children and is survived by her seven siblings: Margie, Melvin, Linda, Wanda, Terry and Jerry (twins), and Lee.
Cremation services are being carried out by Einan's Funeral Home, Richland. We would like to invite family and friends to share in a celebration of her memory on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Divine Fellowship Church, 513 Barth Ave., Richland, WA, 99352. The family is requesting no flowers or food be sent; rather send donations in Sally's name to Divine Fellowship listed above.
