Steve Palmer Obituary

Steve Palmer
August 5, 1950 - August 23, 2022
Richland, Washington - On Tuesday, August 23, 2022 Steven Jay Palmer, loving husband, father of two, and devoted Grand-Dude, passed away far too soon at the age of 72.
Steve was born in Richland, Washington on August 5, 1950 to Ray and Margaret Palmer. He graduated from Col-High in 1968; served 6 years in the Army National Guard and went on to receive his law degree from Gonzaga Law School in 1980. He then returned to Richland, with the love of his life, and both began their law careers. Soon after they started their family.
Steve had a love of adventure whether it be jumping out of countless planes and riding his motorcycle in his twenties or still go-kart racing and completing an aerial course in his seventies. He found joy in running, hiking, golfing, skiing, fishing, biking, and keeping up with his "grands."
Steve leaves behind Linda Waite, his wife of 43 years; his two daughters and bonus son, Allison Palmer and Andrea and Carlos Tamez; and his three grandchildren, Ava, Coy, and Eme Tamez. He is also survived by his sisters, Cathy Wood and Irene Saenz, and Brother, Brad Palmer.
At Steve's request, there will be no services and his cremains will be spread at several of his favorite spots. In Lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Special Olympics.

I enjoy thinking and remembering Steve. With those thoughts I think of Ray, his father, ever an admirable man. Especialy I like to remember Steve and Linda together. I enjoyed their humor and tenderness towards each other.
Steve and Linda, a sweet couple, good people.

On behalf of all of our family I want to say a huge thank you for sharing some of your thoughts and memories of our husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother-he was a wonderful loving and fun person and will be greatly missed everyday by all of us! It helps to hear from his friends and colleagues just to be able to fill in parts of his life that we may not have known about-so thank you! If you want to get in touch with me, his older sister Cathy-though I always called him my "big brother"- my email is [email protected].
