STEVEN PITNER Obituary

STEVEN JAMES PITNER December 4, 1969-December 25, 2017 Steve passed away peacefully in hospice care on Christmas day. Preceding his death, his immediate family members were able to say their final goodbyes to him and bring him comfort in his final moments. Steve was born in the Tri Cities and spent his early life here until graduating from Eastern Oregon University and moving to the Seattle area. Steve had a magnetic personality and was liked and admired by all those he touched. He was an accomplished musician and had played professionally in a band. He served as a volunteer medical case specialist to those in need of mental health care. He was an ardent mountain hiker and excelled in shooting pool. He will be dearly missed by his multitude of friends. Steve is survived by his parents Al and Linda Pitner of Pasco, his brother Terry now serving in the State Department in Beijing China. Terry's two sons and daughter were very special to Uncle Steve, and they loved him dearly. Terry's wife, Aleksandra, was also loved by Steve, and he affectionately called her 'sister'. There will be no services at this time, but a Celebration of Life will be held in Steve's honor this summer.

Sending love to all Steve's friends and family. We'll all have less laughter and joy in our lives without him in it. I feel blessed to have had him be a wonderful part of my life.
