YVONNE BLOOM Obituary
Yvonne Bloom passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12th at the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House after battling COPD for many years. Yvonne was born on January 11th, 1931 in Troy, Idaho. She spent her early school years in Clarkston, WA and her last two school years in Winchester, Idaho. She graduated in 1948.
She married James Bloom on May 16th, 1951. Vonnie was office manager for the Idaho State Liquor Warehouse in Lewiston before her move to Sandpoint Naval Air Base in Seattle where her husband was stationed. There she worked for the Seattle Housing Authority. After his honorable discharge in 1954 they moved back to Lewiston, where she attended Mr. Nick's Beauty College for 2 years. After several transfers to Yakima, Seattle and Oregon they finally settled in Kennewick. There she enjoyed many years of playing golf at the Tri-City Country Club.
She is survived by her husband James of 64 years, her sons James William (Jamie) of Lacey and Ken (Janet) of Lake Tapps, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother Glenn (Millie) Rush of Lewiston, and special friends Terrie and Raymond Fisher of Kennewick.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Cheri Bloom.
Memorial service will be at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home at 1401 S Union St. in Kennewick on Thursday April 16th at 1:00 pm.

Mary , Katie, Emily and I all send our condolences to Jim and the boys. We were neighbors almost 10 years on Kent Street in Kennewick from 78 thru 88 and shared holidays and families in those years. I remember seeing Vonnie at Costco, working and remember talking with Jim there. We'd reminisce and block traffic at Costco for hours! God blessed us with the Bloom family as neighbors!!
