James Lockwood Obituary

James F. Lockwood, 32, of Lake Ariel, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in Dyberry Township, Honesdale.

Born August 15, 1981 in Carbondale, he was the son of Laurie S. Adams-White of Lake Ariel, and the late Gary James Lockwood who died July 17, 2007.

Jim graduated from Honesdale High School, Class of 1999. Following graduation, he enjoyed traveling the United States with friends. He thoroughly enjoyed cooking and landscaping and making memories with his friends and family.

Jim was always willing to help others; he had a huge heart, and always put others first in life. He will be remembered as a caring and adventurous man.

He is survived by his mother, Laurie S. Adams-White and her husband Doug White of Lake Ariel; his son, Kayle Houdeshell of Ohio; his grandfather, Gary A. Lockwood of Windgap, Pa; a brother, Brett Lockwood and his wife Kristin of Lake Huntington, New York; a sister, Amanda Lockwood and her companion Brett Shaffer of Honesdale; step-brother, Zachary White of Honesdale, and step-sister, Ashley White of Scranton; and a half-brother, Gary R. Lockwood of Honesdale; Jim is also survived by his aunts and uncles, a niece and nephews whom he loved and adored.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Heather Adams and his paternal grandmother, Anna Mae Lockwood.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the home of Brett Lockwood, 244 Nearing Road, Lake Huntington, New York, 12752.

Friends are asked to bring a favorite covered dish to share in the meal.
