ELIZABETH SHOEMAKER Obituary

ELIZABETH ANN SHOEMAKER Elizabeth Ann Williams-Mason-Shoemaker of San Diego CA died on March 1, 2024. She was born on May 16, 1942 in Pratt, Kansas at the Ninnescah Hospital to Marion C Williams and Dorothy (Black) Williams. She attended Glendale grade school and graduated from Pratt High School in 1960. She married James Mason in June of 1960 (divorced). She married Les Shoemaker (divorced). Liz worked for the U S government as a key punch operator - data entry. She retired in San Diego, was later called back to train other to do her job and operate equipment. She worked on a fishing boat as a cook and helped the crew with rigging the fishing gear. Fishing was her passion and she always caught fish. She was also a fan and supporter of the San Diego Padres and San Diego Chargers working in the stands at the games. Liz was a loving grandmother and wonderful sister always helping others. Liz leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory her children Robert Charles Mason (Jea Seon) and Sherrl Mason Urquidez (Armando). Her grandchildren Michelle Lee Mason. Robyn Van Dyke and Angela Nicole. Brothers Charles Williams (Pat) and John David Williams. Sisters Jane Bell, Kay Trostle, Jan Mains, Dena Kerr (David) and Debra Charpentier. Liz was cremated and will have her ashes spread in the ocean as was her wishes. Memorial service will be held later in San Diego.
