Alice Dickinson

Alice Dickinson Troy – Alice Dickinson, 92, of Lansingburgh died peacefully on June 7, 2014 at the Eddy Geriatric Center in Troy. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Julia Lipka Hill and the devoted wife of the late James B. Dickinson. Mrs. Dickinson was educated in Troy and had worked at the former Cluett-Peabody for many years and later at Covatta’s Pharmacy before retiring. She was a member of St. Augustine’s Church and their Sacred Heart Sodality as well as the Waterford Senior Citizens and the Home Bureau. Survivors include her children James W. Dickinson (Sue) of Gansevoort, Donna Guzy (Robert) of Troy and Kenneth Dickinson ( Christie) of Glenmont, grandchildren, Cassandra Hawkinson (Rob) of Chicago and Thomas Dickinson of Troy, Deana Filarecki (John) of Troy, Julie Scarchilli (Zachary) of Wynantskill and Carla Guzy (David Salmon) of Troy, and James and Ian Dickinson of Glenmont and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Roark and Sister Martin DePorres and brothers, Thomas Hill, and Andrew Hill . Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 am from St. Augustine’s Church in Lansingburgh where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Friends are invited and may call at the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home 870 Second Ave. (124th & 125th Streets) in Lansingburgh on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm.
