Barbara Casale Obituary
Born in Troy, Bobbie is the daughter of Phyllis Ciarlone Martone and the late Robert F. Martone and was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 26 years, Anthony "Tony red-head" Casale.
Bobbie was a long time member of the ICC, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, working bingo and volunteering at all the ICC functions.
Bobbie was employed for 28 years as a secretary at AFSCME Council 66.
She was a member of the Class of '69 of Catholic Central High School and a member of St. Anthony's Church in Troy. Bobbie especially enjoyed playing Bocce with her "Market Gang" and was a fan of the New York Yankees.
Bobbie is survived by her loving daughter Deana (Doreen Smith) Casale of Clifton Park. Bobbie is also survived by her sisters MaryLu Martone and Linda (Mike) Ross, both of Southern Shores, North Carolina. Bobbie was a loving sister-in-law to Joan Piscitella her special caregiver, Tiny Valente, Carmen and Carol Casale and Mary Francis Casale. Bobbie is also survived by her longtime loving companion, Donnie Rychcik, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
The funeral for Bobbie will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Bocketti Funeral Home, 336 Third St., Troy and at 10 a.m. from St. Anthony's Church, Troy, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Mario Julian OFM, pastor.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
Bobbie's family who like to especially thank the wonderful and tender care given to Bobbie by The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County.
The family requests that contributions in Bobbie's memory may be made to The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY or St. Anthony's Church, 28 State St., Troy.
