Barbara was a great boss at the publishing company where I learned my chops -- thanks to her I have had a lifelong career. She taught me so much about how to be honest and forthright, knitting (we bartered services, but I was a failure on the knitting machine and crafts in general), how to navigate in an office (I went freelance once I realized I hated working in an office and was hopeless at it). She was kind, courageous, fun, wise, and ridiculously insightful. She was ten times smarter and classier than everyone around her but never let on. One of a kind. Barbara Mohan, since the 1-2 years I worked with you back at Delmar Publishers in Albany, you have often crossed my mind as one of the top people who have had the most impact on me in adulthood. I'm so sorry that I never told you once I realized that. She deserved more years on Earth, but maybe she felt she had completed her service 1000-fold. Sending you my love up to the heavens, Barbara. Lisa Clyde Nielsen (By the way, this photograph is just lovely.)
If any of her family sees this, please call me at 203-562-4215 or email me at [email protected]
I'd love to reminisce about The Unsinkable Barbara Mohan.

Barbara attended Tai Chi for Arthritis instructors class with us. She had a delightful sense of humor and a dedication to her fellow man. We enjoyed volunteering with her over the years even though we moved into Beltrone when she could no longer volunteer. She strived to be independent and pushed herself to achieve goals. We mourn her passing with you.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Barbara was a wonderful woman who was a positive role model. She leaves behind many seniors that were touched by her smiling, friendly, and encouraging ways. She will be missed by many.
