Ellen & Carolyn,
I feel so sad to hear of your Mother's passing. She was a second Mother to me growing up. I would think of her & you often. There's a nurse I worked with who moved to Bennington. She had a stoke and I think she was in the same nursing home. How small the world really is. My prays and thoughts are with you and your families. Thanks for all the great memories and great times that I'll never forget.

I grew up next door to the Jacobsens and my childhood recollections are full of wonderful memories of Mr. and Mrs. Jacobsen and their family. They were always so kind to my sisters and to me. They let us play with their beautiful German Shephard all of the time (my sister's first word was "Rex"!) and would let us run around in their yard, even though I'm sure we could often get fairly noisy. It was always such a treat to be invited into their beautiful home. We were so lucky to have such a truly good, fun, kind and lovely lady as Eleanor Jacobsen living next door to us for all of those many years. I will always remember her with great fondness. My thoughts and sympathies are with her family now, as are the prayers of the entire Glasheen family. God bless you all during this difficult time.

Condolences to Ellen Ann (Doug), Carolyn (Mark) & all the family. Saw that it was her birthday on Oct 26th (& glad she reached her 96th year!). What a long & fulfilling life she led! We always got a big "Cead Mile Failte" whenever we visited from Ireland...and she was such a good & pleasant neighbor since my parent family moved to Sunset View 56 years ago! Requiescat in pace. Will always hold a fond place in my heart for you! KC (Brendan) Ireland

We are so very saddened to hear that our favorite neighbor and friend has passed. We will always remember the kindness and love she, (and Al) shared with our family, especially toward Mollie and Daniel. Eleanor always made us laugh and we will always love her. She was truly one of a kind. Please know that she and her family will be kept in our thought and prayers. Allow the memories of the past to help you get through this difficult time.
