My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

As his photo in uniform might suggest, Irving was a hail-fellow-well-met; a kind, funny, smart easy-going man. His (sometimes longish) stories were always interesting, and demonstrative of his wide knowledge and life experiences. Within his family - who shared enormous mutual love and affection with their pater familias - the particular care and support given to him by Carol and Frank must be noted and admired. How luck he was. As were they. Bon Voyage, Irv.
