Luke Vincent Miele TROY - Luke Vincent Miele, 66, of Troy, passed into eternal rest on Wednesday evening at The Samaritan Hospital in Troy, surrounded by his loving family. Luke was born in Cervinara, Italy and was the son of the late Giuseppe and Carolina Molaro Miele. Luke was employed for many years by The City of Troy in The Parks and Recreation Department. He was also involved with keeping The Frear Park Golf Course as special as it is. He served our country in US Navy from 1970 to 1976 . Luke was a graduate of The Culinary Arts Institute in Hyde Park. Luke is survived by his daughter Alycia Miele and his grandson Brandon Gayes both of Colonie. He is also survived by his siblings Angelo (Mary) Miele of Troy, Pasquale (Sandra) Miele of Troy, Lucy (Les) Peeney of Schenectady, Joanne (James) VanderVoort of Troy, Grace Miele of Troy and Maria (Kevin) Wallace of Wynantskill. Luke is also survived by his uncle Pasquale (Ann Marie) Molaro, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many friends. The funeral service for Luke will be held on Sunday afternoon at 4PM at The Bocketti Funeral Home, 336 Third St., Troy with Deacon Charles Wojton of St. Anthony’s Church officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Sunday from 1PM to 4PM. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the Samaritan Hospital CCU department especially to Jennifer Mazzariello for the kindness shown to them.
