Mary Gendron Obituary

Mary L. Gendron BRUNSWICK - Mary L. Gendron, 71, passed away peacefully on Friday morning at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Troy, NY a daughter of the late Joseph, Sr. and Amelia Doyle. Mary worked as a secretary for many years with Simmons Fastener, Bond Schoeneck & King Law Firm and at Gendron’s Truck Center. Mary was giving of her time and served as a volunteer of the Northeast Kidney Foundation. Mary was a beautiful person; she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and shopping, but taking care of her grandchildren was what she loved most. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Kathleen Rivet and Joseph Doyle. She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Richard T. Gendron; loving daughter, Gina M. Fontaine and her husband Charles; adoring grandchildren, Samantha and Jakob Fontaine; cherished nieces, Barb Dobert and her husband Jeff and Marylea Ruff and her husband Edwin; her two best friends, Zayneh Gorman and Carla Roland; she is also survived by many wonderful friends. Mary’s family would like to personally thank, Jamie Borge, her hospice home care nurse, for the loving care shown to Mary during her illness. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. To remember Mary in a special way, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, New York 12144.
