Richard Sipel Obituary

SIPEL, RICHARD TUCSON, AZ - Richard Guy Sipel, 90, of Tucson, died Monday, March 14, in Tucson, AZ. He was born in Troy, NY, June 21, 1920, the oldest of four children of the late Guy and Christina (Rymiller) Sipel. He had a long career as an engineer with the U.S. Arsenal in Watervliet, NY and then with IBM in Endicott, NY and Tucson, AZ. He was predeceased by his first two wives, Arlene (Smith) and Nancy (Harnett), brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Mary Sipel. He is survived by his third wife Helen (Locke) and two sisters: Eleanor (the late Anthony) Malinoski and Frances (the late Paul) Perreault, both of Troy, NY. Also survived by his five children: Sandra (Robert) La Claire of Greensboro, GA, Nancy (Roger) Miller of Menomonee Falls, WI, Christine Caldwell of Tucson, AZ, Kathryn Sipel of Endwell, NY, and Richard (Lory) Sipel of Fountain Hills, AZ; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
