Robert Hupe

Robert F. Hupe TROY - Robert F. Hupe, 75, of Troy. Entered into eternal life on Friday February 5, 2016 at the Albany Memorial Hospital surrounded by the people he loved most. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Walter and Cecelia Martell Hupe, and beloved husband of 51 years to Sharon Breen Hupe. Bob served our Country proudly in the U.S. Army and later in the U.S. Navy. He was a retiree of the Nashua Corp. after 32 years of service, he was also employed part time at Hudson Valley Community College for several years. Upon retirement, Bob enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, taking part in all of their sporting activities. He along with his loving wife became snowbirds and spent their winters in Sarasota, Florida. Bob was a member of the Troy Elks lodge #141 and the American Legion in Wynantskill. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife Sharon include his precious daughters Michelle and Paul Barker of Latham, and Nicole and John Palladino Averill Park, he was the proud grandfather of Kelsey, Aislinn, and Brogan Barker, Brady and Griffin Palladino, also survived by his cherished sidekick Sadie. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 am in the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home 336 3rd St. Troy with Deacon Charles Wojton officiating, interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Troy. Family and friends are invited and may call on Sunday from 1 – 4 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society Oakland Ave. Menands, NY. His devoted grandchildren will feel his absence greatly, however they will carry him in their hearts forever.
